In a Lonesome Valley
Searching for Dragonfly ZK-AFB
In a lonesome valley
Beneath the sunlit sky
Where the lofty peaks soar up into the still mountain air
The silent forests guard a deep secret
Pearly brooks and sheltered dells
Nothing moves, as I gaze around in awe
The heat of midday looms
As the blush of the mountain lily blooms
The trees whisper to each other of a past mystery
Learned folk say it is nought but history
But that an airplane
Could disappear seems so insane
T’was not a dream… t’was fact
That 5 good people were lost with without so much as a quack
The remains we hope to find
In a deed we consider kind
Not for ourselves do we search, but to put history straight
As many families happy again we must make
It’s a big task to tackle by half
But never fear, we are game to search without a laugh
Some will laugh at these words of mine
Hush, do not read them as the blind
Just read these lines
One word at a time
And you shall see
I am not as mad as could be
