The Guarded Heart
I would like to talk a little on the subject of a Guarded Heart. Let us find out whether it is a good thing or a bad thing.
Everyone has a heart… a heart which consists of our passions, our desires, our joys, our hurts, our struggles, and our commitments. This “heart” belongs to the individuals head. In the case of an unmarried woman her head is her Father… a divorced woman’s head is the Lord, and the same applies with a woman whose father has died, and also a man. Their heart is not theirs to give away… whether man or woman… A true Christian’s heart has been surrendered to Jesus Christ at the foot of the Cross. So it is no longer theirs to give to the love in their life – without complete authority from the individuals “Head”.
So if someone is guarding their heart, it is a very good thing, because it shows the individual is living close to his or her Lord. Every real Christian needs a very secure lock on their heart to prevent Satan from entering and creating havoc within… and believe me; he will do so if we give him the slightest chance!
A person with a door that is not latched will be risking a thief in the night. They run the risk of troubles, trials and torments later on. A heart given away freely at any fickle whim will be disaster waiting to happen. The unlocked heart may be stolen by anyone at anytime… and divorce will ever linger near. The tighter and more secure the lock on the heart, the more honourable and happy the marriage will eventually be. Because the heart has been guarded for so long it will be second nature to continue protecting the lock after marriage.
To the young men and women out there, please heed my words… guard your heart from the Devil. The pleasure gained from the excitement of loose relationships is nothing compared to the honour and respect of a true God Fearing marriage. The fun soon passes then you are left with years of either terrible heartache or beautiful rewards.
Please take note, a securely guarded heart that fears God is admirable, but a swinging door is extremely dangerous…
Some people get small amusement out of fickle relationships, but consider for a moment what Jesus Christ did for us? He is our Bridegroom… and we are the Bride of Christ. He has pursued us honourably since Adam and Eve fell from grace in the Garden of Eden. Has he ever left us? Has He ever forsaken us? No! He has remained true for around 7 to 8 thousand years. It is the Bride who has been dishonourable and forsaken the Bridegroom.
Is that love and adoration He has shown not enough to make every true member of Gods family want to stand up for the right? To stand up in the face of the Feminist Movement, the face of Green Peace and other Satanic groups… and plead with the people to give up their sinful ways and follow the perfect Bridegroom?
Follow the Lord whilst there is still time… but guard your heart from the Evil One. He is sitting outside the door ever waiting for a crack to appear so he can prise it open and enter… My brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ our Lord, you have been warned!
